Welcome to Friday's feature! My feature today is Whitney from Genuine Accents. She makes fun & unique jewelry and pacifier clips. I stumbled across her etsy site while cruisin' sites and liked what I saw!
When I asked Whitney what inspired her to start her business, here is what she had to say:
"I recently got my BA in Business from Southern Virginia University (SVU). While my husband and I were still attending school, we made several friends. My husband hates for me to tell this story, but he and another friend, Marc, would frequently get together on the weekends and play a computer game late into the night (or should I say morning?). Since the boys were busy, that left me and my girl friend, Nicky, with little to nothing to do. She is very crafty and would pull out all her stuff and share her gift/talent with me. We got hooked on making jewelry. This started to become a somewhat expensive hobby, so I heard of Etsy through another friend, Kiley, who happened to already have a shop. I don't have children yet, but I have always wanted to have a job where I can work at home. I am currently preparing to vend at cheerleading, dance, and gymnastics competitions in Texas."
