A Few of our Favorite Things
Everyone has favorite things. Right? Well today I thought I'd share a few of our family's favorite things. We just got back from a family vacation at the beach. We went to Destin, Florida. Despite all the hype that an oil spill was on its way to the beach we thanked God we had a great time with no oil. However it was getting close when we left. If you paid close attention you noticed that they were prepared. The supplies were sitting ready to go to put in place when the oil started to surface.
Everyone has favorite things. Right? Well today I thought I'd share a few of our family's favorite things. We just got back from a family vacation at the beach. We went to Destin, Florida. If you paid close attention you noticed that they were prepared. The supplies were sitting ready to go to put in place when the oil started to surface.
This reminded me of our walk with God. How you might ask. Well he gives us HIS word (the Bible) to prepare the way for us to walk and if we follow HIS word and HIS ways then we will be prepared for anything that comes our way. When you think of HIS word as action plans for your life and put them into action when needed then you will be taken care of on a daily basis. If you pay close attention, you can see God at work in all areas and situations in life, you just have to stop and notice. This too you can see HIM in your favorite things.
So getting back to our favorite things to do at the beach...

Watch Sunsets
But you promised me, ‘I will surely treat you kindly, and I will multiply your descendants
until they become as numerous as the sands along the seashore—too many to count." Gen. 32:12
"Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise! Let the earth and all living things join in." Ps. 98:7 (NLT)
Eat lots of sea food
"They gave him a piece of broiled fish," Luke 24:42
Swim and most important Relax.
The LORD replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." Exo. 33:14(NIV)
It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night,
anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones. Ps. 127:2(NLT)
So getting back to our favorite things to do at the beach...
