It's a wrap! I was so excited on Friday, I wanted to have a "wrap party"! I finally wrapped up the birthday/Valentine's Day present I had been working on for my hubby for 6 weeks! My husband is a sentimental guy, a great Dad to our 3 children, loves to make memories w/ them, & loves taking pics. So each year I take our family blog & turn it into a scrapbook. I'm no crafty nor do I have the time/patience to make one myself. Instead I download all our blog entries to Blurb.com & make my scrapbook there! You know how I said my husband loves to take pics? Well, for 2009, when I downloaded all my '09 blog entries to Blurb, it had 1200 pics & 600 pages! I worked on it almost daily for 6 weeks & got it down to 300 pics on 100 pages! With 2 small children & a baby, sometimes I only had 10 minutes a day, sometimes an hour, & sometimes none at all. So for me, it is truly a labor of love cuz typically I don't have the patience for this type of thing.
I started doing this because a couple of years ago Blogger randomly removed all the text from my personal blog for about a week I was so upset & distraught thinking of all the events in our family's life that we had on there, that I decided I needed to have these memories recorded elsewhere as well. So, if you're looking for a meaningful gift for someone, this would be one to consider. :)
