"I was first inspired by a friend to start digital scrapbooking (which ultimately led to more). I was instantly hooked on gathering some of my favorite pictures and putting them together on a page -- and I would occasionally blog about my creations.

Then, shortly after having my own blog designed, I decided that it was something I should look into as well! After all, I had all of the designing basics down from learning digital scrapbooking, I just needed to figure out how to install different designs into a blog! Plus, the extra money for books & tuition would be nice in the end! After non-stop tutorials before, during, and even shortly after my Spring Break, I finally had it all figured out!"

Here is her inspiration:
"I was never much of a scrapbooker but I always enjoyed making my own cards. Then in 2005 I discovered Digital Scrapbooking. I was totally hooked. It is so easy to change and edit things digitally and there is no mess to clean up afterwards! Eventually I just got back to my roots and I started designing my own holiday cards, calendars and birth announcements digitally. I ended up doing a few more for friends and family which led to a partnership with a friend of mine that runs a photography studio, Bridge Photography (www.bridgephotography.com). I started designing products for her clients and things just sort of grew from there. I eventually opened up my own Etsy Shop (www.knappscraps.etsy.com) and I also partner with 2 photo printing labs (Bay Photo Lab and White House Custom Color) where I design templates for photographers. It has been a lot of fun and I really enjoy the design process and seeing card orders in print because I know someone has something special they get to mail out and share with their friends and families."
