Mandy's inspiration:
"I have always loved the idea of sewing and creating my own things...but have always been intimidated by words like, "bobbin", "seam ripper", "notches", etc...but last year while walking around a Christmas Market, I got this bright idea to start sewing myself. I began to look at these really cute outfits for my kids and every time I checked the price tag I would gasp. So, I pulled my Mom's sewing machine out and started from scratch. I also purchased an embroidery machine and have had a great time personalizing anything and everything! My Daddy died a year and a half ago and I really needed something to distract myself. Sewing was perfect! Making a pair of pants for my son or an a-line dress for my daughter would in some sort, "fill me up." Even if that feeling was temporary, it made me feel proud that I had accomplished something. That turned into a little side business that I am thoroughly enjoying. So while my inspiration was for selfish reasons, it's really turned into something that I cherish."
