On Vacation
We're headed to the beach tomorrow so I'll see you guys back here on Monday July 6th. Hope you have a Happy 4th of July & be safe!! {{Hugs}}
Friday's Feature
First, I have several lucky winners to announce. The winner of the bracelet from Beadalicious Jewelry by Danica is #34 Cheryl
The winners of the 2 "Busy Mom's Devotions To Go" Books are #3 Monica Jensen & #19 Ed
Congrats!
Today I am featuring Baby Bug Creations. Ashley Beal is the owner of Baby Bug Creations & she makes Diap & Wipe Cases, Wet Bags, Nursing Covers, tutus, & much more! She was kind enough to send me a pair of Bug Legs to review. These were not around when my kids were small & I think they are a wonderful idea! With my little one on the way I look forward to getting lots more use out of these. Bug Legs can be used under pants to prevent gapping & wind getting to the baby, with just a diaper for quicker diaper changes or under a skirt for added cuteness! These are so great for middle of the night diaper changes with newborns! They're also great for when your little one is crawling on the carpet- they protect their little knees from rug burns! They will fit most babies from NB-2yrs, depending on the chunkiness. ~wink~
What I like about the Bug Legs:
1. They protect baby's knees when crawling.
2. They are long enough to cover even the longest little legs.
3. They are functional, yet cute at the same time.
4. Lots of fabrics to choose from.
What I didn't like about Bug Legs:
1. Nothing, they are too cute!

Ashely's inspiration for Baby Bug Creations:
"When I was pregnant with my 2nd son, I wanted to stay home with my boys but finances wouldn't allow it. I knew if I wanted to be able to be a "stay at home mom" I needed to find something to do to bring in some extra income. While I was debating what to do, a close friend whom I had made letters for suggested I see what people thought of personalized letters. & That's where it all began!
What I do:
I create personalized custom items for moms & babies- if you need something to spruce up the nursery or want boutique quality items but can't afford the outrageous prices. That's what I am here for! Everything on my site also makes a great gift for new parents or for the mom-to-be. Who doesn't like getting a unique gift?"

Today I am giving away 2 copies of the "Busy Mom's Devotions To Go". I received some copies to review & would like to share them with you!

What I like about "Busy Moms' Devotions To Go":
1. It's small enough to fit in your purse or take on the go.
2. The devos are short so you can squeeze in some time w/ God when you're on the go. Of course, don't neglect time w/ God in prayer each day, but these are great little moments w/ God to spend each day!
3. Easy to read & super cute cover!
4. Would make a great gift.

Mom Spit
I gave away a Mom Spit Kit a couple of weeks ago & also had the opportunity to review one. At first I wasn't quite sure how much I would use it, but it has come in handy several times & I love it! I was in a waiting room a couple of weeks ago getting my brakes worked on. I am sure you know that brake & tire places are usually not very clean or child-friendly. Sure enough, my 3 yr old got down in the floor & his hands were black from dirt. Mom Spit to the rescue! I whipped it out, squirted (too much), and his hands were clean as a whistle!
Here is the inspiration behind Mom Spit:
"The inspiration for Mom Spit comes from life, kids and dirt:) Of course, from the original when our mothers tried to clean us up while on the go.

What I like about Mom Spit:
1. They come in handy 2 oz bottles. Great for travel or your purse.
2. They come in different scents & offer unscented as well.
3. It works!
4. It doesn't take much so the bottle will last a long time.
5. The name is too cute & original!

Hop on over to Especially Made to check out her designs, love em! She will design a board specific to colors/theme/decor of a room for the lucky winner!
What inspired Lara to start Especially Made:
"I am a stay home mom of four very adventurous and energetic boys. I started my business over two years ago, and I really enjoy creating personal and unique items/projects for various occasions and events, or even just for fun! When I had my first son, I was looking for creative and custom ideas to decorate a space for him and I really couldn’t find what I was looking for in the stores. So, I started with a swatch of fabric and made a custom memory board to organize and display photos and keepsakes that were easy to change out, and another plus, was that there was no permanent damage to the photos because there was no need to use tacks or tape. With that I thought to create other custom items to decorate, and I began receiving requests from family and friends to design custom décor and gifts with different variations specific to the recipient(s). Thus, EspeciallyMade was started as an avenue to offer ideas in which I can create custom hand-crafted/personalized gifts and décor that are uniquely special and made especially for that certain someone."

Wear The Earth Giveaway
I have another giveaway for you today! This is for a 100% Organic Egyptian Cotton Rug/Playmat from Wear The Earth!
What could be more Eco-friendly then using Organic scraps and left-overs? This rug/playmat is handmade with leftover scraps from the clothing collection. The durability and softness of these rugs is great for play or for decoration in baby’s room, bathrooms or any rooms in the house….the softness of the rug makes it easy to fold up and stick in a diaper bag.
Machine Washable Size 31 X 40 (Pink) Retails for $30.00
What inspired Tiffany to start Wear The Earth:
"My inspiration was the birth of my daughter in 2004. My husband and I had always tried to be eco-conscious, we recycled, brought our own bags to the grocery store, updated old appliances with Energy rated appliances when needed, donated old furniture/clothing etc. Something clicked for me when my daughter was born that made me more aware of what I was going to leave behind and what would be left for her. I left the work force to stay home with her and that was a huge decision I never thought I would be “a stay-home-mom”. It was not in the cards for me. After the first year I needed something for myself and so I started toying with ideas and business opportunities that would allow me to be home with her and still have something for myself. So, 4 years later I decided to form Wear The Earth. For me the website is more than just an ecommerce site. Through our email community we send monthly Eco-tips and a newsletter. In my local community I offer educational seminars on the advantages of sustainable clothing and Organic farming. I guarantee that the clothing you find on our site is Sweatshop free and manufactured with the least impact possible on the environment that is my commitment to my customers."

Posh a Bye Baby Boutique is an upscale & trendy boutique designed for stylish babies & toddlers. Here is what inspired Heidi to start Posh a Bye Baby:"I've always had the desire to have my own business and I adore the atmosphere and personal service of boutiques. But it was my sister, who was a tutu designer who sold to some of the top children's boutiques, that gave me the push I needed to take the plunge and open one of my own. Baby Shower Giveaways Week!
Yay! My Baby Shower Giveaway Week is finally here! I am pregnant & decided it would be fun to give away some Baby Shower loot this week to celebrate! I'm 12 weeks now & starting to feel better, so that's something to celebrate, right? I've been working hard to round up some awesome sponsors for this & hope you all enjoy!!
To kick off the Baby Shower, pick up your Virtual Goody Bag from Goodies For Mom by clicking here! You will get innovative products for Mom, articles, & coupons!
Today I will be giving away a $30 Gift Certificate to Cushie Pushie.

The Cushie Pushie Breastfeeding Pillow is made for breastfeeding mothers by a mother. It is a pillow designed to help you gain the correct breast position for easier breasrtfeeding. This breastfeeding pillow pushes your breast upward in order to allow easy latching by your nursing baby, while maintaining correct positioning throughout the feeding. By keeping the breast pushed up, it also frees one of your hands from continually holding your breast while breastfeeding. This is particular helpful if you are busy breastfeeding mom who is continually multi-tasking, even while nursing. And who isn't?
Cushie Pushies come in a variety of fun, colorful designs. Whether your style is pastel and cutesy or bold and vibrant, there is a Cushie Pushie for you. We even offer an organic version for eco-conscious moms made of 100% organic cotton and batting. You won't want to hide them in your diaper bag!
As a working mother of two, Lois Whittaker, the inventor of Cushie PushieTM was nursing her second child and thought there must be an easier way to breastfeed her son. Being a busy mom, multitasking occurs even while nursing. Answering the phone, reading to an older sibling, or just getting a chance to eat are all daily challenges for a breastfeeding mom. Instead of using both hands and constantly readjusting her breast to keep it in the correct position, Lois thought there had to be a better way. After many hours trying to come up with the right size and shape, she developed the Cushie Pushie breast support pillow. With a goal to make breastfeeding easier for new as well as experience moms, Cushie Pushie's aims to provide a quality product for a reasonable cost.
The Cushie Pushie Company also offers breastfeeding gift baskets and pro-breastfeeding gift items.

Eco Store
I don't know if you are one that has jumped on the "Green" or Eco-Friendly bandwagon yet, but I did last year. One thing I am glad I did it for is cuz now that I am pregnant, I can appreciate the "green" products even more. I know being preggers you shouldn't be inhaling all those harmful chemical fumes. And my question has always been, if you shouldn't inhale those fumes when you are pregnant, what makes it ok when you are not pregnant? So, I was quite pleased when Eco Store contacted me to review some of their products.

Eco Store makes plant and mineral based, Household Cleaning, Baby and Personal Care Products that contain No Nasty Chemicals. Eco Store offers Baby Care products, Bath & Body products, Hair, Household, & even Pet Care products. I chose to try out the Lemon Cleanser & Vanilla Shampoo & here are my thoughts on them.

What I liked about the Eco Store's products:
1. No "chemical" or overbearing fumes.
2. The Lemon Cleanser cleans just as well as any other cleanser I have tried. I used it on my kitchen counter & it worked great.
3. The Vanilla Shampoo is for dry & damaged hair & since I color my hair I decided to give it a try. I really liked it, it foamed well & worked great!
4. They came with a note stating all packaging products used for the shipment were environmentally friendly, the peanuts were made of soy, & other products made of recycled paper. Very cool!
5. Quick shipping.
6. Been around for over 10 years, so they know what they are doing.

What I didn't like about Eco Store's products:
1. The products had tape over the lids when shipped which I found difficult to remove. The shampoo had leaked a little, but no biggie. Other than that, the products themselves were fab!
Want it? They always offer free shipping on orders $25 and over. Click here to shop @ Eco Store!
Would you like for me to review or feature your company? Email me at heatherldt @ bellsouth dot net for more info.
See you Monday for my Baby Shower! A week of Giveaways for you! ~Giddy~

Friday's Feature - Susu Art
Today's Friday Feature is Anna-Susan from Susu Art. Susu Art offers paintings, monogrammed candles, children's room decor, & much more!
Her inspiration:
"The first SuSu Art was created in crayon on the walls of her bedroom. This early career was suspended briefly after her second birthday when her mother discovered what a crayon can do to a dryer full of laundry. Once SuSu decided it was just as much fun to draw on paper, she was allowed to pursue her interest in color and design and she's been painting ever since. In college she painted to earn money for all the extras a coed has to have that her parents won't buy. She continued painting in graduate school as a supplement to the scholarships that financed her Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. SuSu now paints for pleasure when she's not using her talent to make learning more fun for the 20 four-year-old children in her classroom."
As a Mom of a little budding artist myself, I love the story of her coloring on the walls!
Here are some samples of her art:

Thoughts for Thursday
I got this devotional from Proverbs 31 the other day & I wanted to share it.....
"Then Jesus told him, 'Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed'." John 20:29 (NIV)
Notice how I titled today's devotion "Believing is Seeing," and not the other way around?
If you think about it, we believe without seeing every day. We listen to the news on the radio or television and believe what they say is true. Even though we may see the broadcast, we did not actually witness the events. We listen to the gossip of others and believe their words to be fact.
However, when it comes to believing that God is God, and that the Bible is holy and true, many people struggle.
Why is it that we have a much harder time believing in a sovereign God, than we do a story on the news or from a friend? Why is it difficult for some to comprehend and believe that God created the universe, is in control of everything, and ordains life?
DOUBT.
Doubt is an incredibly powerful weapon that the devil uses to attack the minds of those whose faith is weakened due to struggles in life, feeling distanced from God, or who have never truly known the Savior.
Doubt occurs when we begin to think we have to see God to believe in Him, and when our faith is dependent on what our eyes can see.
But faith is not something we can see. There is no visual evidence. The official definition of faith is a "firm belief in something of which there is no proof."
Faith requires that we believe, despite not having any visual evidence.
If seeing were believing, then faith would be irrelevant and unnecessary."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She went on to explain even more, but I had never thought of faith that way. We believe so many things we only "hear" or are told about, yet some will doubt God. Just thought I would share that thought-provoker with you today. Have a blessed day!! ~wink~
See you tomorrow for Friday's Feature & join me next week for....
Tuesday's Tip
I don't know if you've read all the hype about High Fructose Corn Syrup, but the more I read about it the more I want to avoid it. I looked in my frig & it is in all my Soft Drinks, which I don't let my kids drink very often anyway. The most recent thing I read on Mom Trends was that it contains mercury. Michelle Obama has nixed all products containing High Fructose Corn Syrup from the White House. What are your thoughts on it?
Baby Shower
I'm planning a baby shower for my friend who is expecting her first child. I've had lots of fun looking at ideas online and thought I'd share a few I came across. Also, join me next week for a week of Baby Shower Giveaways!! Woo-hoo!
Love this Milk & Cookies Baby Showers post over @ Design Dazzle. I especially love all the jars of cookies & the tub of milk. Yumo!
This one I found over at Natalie's Sentiments. The hostess had all her friends decorate a onesie at the shower for her. What a unique & fun idea! Course, my drawing would have been a stick person since I'm no artist, but how fun!
I saw this adorable idea over at Lindsey's blog. It was a twin baby girl shower. My favorite part was the yummy looking cake w/ the pink bird's eggs on it. So pretty!
If you have some Baby Shower Ideas, please email them to me! heatherldt @ bellsouth dot net
Click here to shop with some great Mom-prenuers & don't forget to stop by starting Monday June 8 for a Baby Shower Giveaway every day!
